2. Information We Collect

Date Wheel collects minimal information necessary to operate the app:

• Project data — task names, dates, durations, milestones, and project settings you create within the app. This data is stored exclusively on your device using local storage (AsyncStorage) and is never transmitted to our servers.
• App settings — your preferences such as dark/light mode, holiday country selection, and haptics settings. Stored locally on your device only.
• Purchase information — if you purchase the Pro upgrade, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment information. We only receive confirmation that a purchase was made.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

Date Wheel does not collect:

• Your name, email address, or any personal contact information
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or behavioral tracking data
• Crash reports or diagnostic data beyond what the operating system provides
• Any data from your contacts, calendar, camera, or microphone

4. Local Data Storage

All project data you create in Date Wheel — including tasks, milestones, project names, and dates — is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data:

• Never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export or share it
• Is not backed up to our servers
• Is deleted when you uninstall the app
• Can be exported by you at any time in CSV, Excel, PDF, or iCal format

5. Push Notifications

Date Wheel can send you local push notifications to remind you of upcoming task and milestone deadlines. These notifications are:

• Scheduled entirely on your device — no data is sent to our servers to trigger notifications
• Entirely optional — you can disable them in your device settings at any time
• Only sent for reminders you explicitly set within the app

We do not send marketing notifications or any notifications unrelated to reminders you have set.

6. In-App Purchases

Date Wheel offers a one-time Pro upgrade purchase. All payment processing is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not have access to your payment card details, billing address, or any financial information. We only receive a confirmation that the purchase was completed successfully.

For questions about refunds or billing, please contact Apple Support or Google Play Support directly.

7. File Exports and Sharing

When you export your project data (as Excel, PDF, CSV, iCal, or a Date Wheel project file), the file is created on your device and shared through your device's standard sharing mechanism. We do not receive copies of exported files. Once you share a file, it is subject to the privacy policies of the service or app you share it with.

8. Third-Party Services

Date Wheel uses the following third-party services:

• Apple App Store / Google Play — for app distribution and in-app purchases. Subject to Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies.
• Expo / EAS — the development framework used to build the app. Expo does not collect user data through our app.

We do not integrate any advertising networks, analytics platforms, or data brokers.

9. Children's Privacy

Date Wheel is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our app, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

10. Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device, the security of your project data depends on your device's own security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, etc.). We encourage you to use your device's built-in security features to protect your data.

11. Your Rights

Since we do not collect or store your personal data on our servers, there is no data held by us to access, correct, or delete. All your project data is on your device and fully under your control. You can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling Date Wheel.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of Date Wheel after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
